From the 9th through the 15th, the Sun-Venus conjunction square Uranus will likely bring a shift to some casual relationship patterns. It is the second square between Venus and Uranus during Venus' stay in the heartwarming fire sign, Leo. Venus is halfway through her retrograde phase in Leo. During her retrograde phase (July 22 to September 2), many may be tempted to look around for a new companion if the current relationship doesn't meet expectations. The Sun-Venus-Uranus dynamic can bring an exciting new romance for some, but unless other factors prove more powerful, it's only likely to be a temporary encounter. On the other hand, those in stable relationships may find this an excellent time to take a vacation or otherwise break from their daily routine to do something more extravagant and exciting than usual. The withdrawn and introspective focus of Venus retrograde can bring a greater awareness of where we've become detached from reality, just getting on with specific tasks and responsibilities without finding true satisfaction, connection, and purpose.

The New Moon in Leo, 23 deg on the 15th/16th, brings excitement since it's exactly square Uranus. Expect the unexpected on various fronts, with surprises coming in, both pleasant and surprising. Leo is a fixed sign, and during a moon phase in a fixed sign, we tend to become resistant to change, behaving more stubbornly than usual. With a strong fire element at the time of this lunation, we will likely find it easier to self-motivate ourselves to reach the most desired goals. Nevertheless, the lack of planetary placement in the air signs throughout this time can make it difficult to see the pros and cons of some issues logically. This New Moon aligns tightly with Black Moon Lilith, making us aware of hidden powers and forces, both internal and external.
