Dear Reader,
Welcome to your very first newsletter of 2025! Happy New Year! I hope this year brings you productivity, exciting opportunities, happiness, and a sense of fulfillment.
I’m writing to you from Poland, where I’ve been spending the Christmas and New Year holidays with my family. It’s been a truly special time, as this is the first Christmas in years that I’ve been fortunate enough to celebrate with them here. I’ll be staying in Poland until January 6th, so you probably won’t see me back on YouTube until around January 10th. I’m already looking forward to recording a new video upon my return!
During my time here, we’ve done a lot of sightseeing, and I’ve been struck by how much Poland has transformed over the past two decades—coincidentally, about the same amount of time I’ve been living in the UK.
I always cherish the energy that comes with the end of one year and the start of another. It’s a time of reflection, closure, and fresh beginnings. This year feels even more dynamic with the Capricorn New Moon we just experienced on December 30th. Capricorn, a cardinal sign, inspires action and determination, making it the perfect cosmic boost to start the year strong.
Here’s to a fantastic start to 2025!
Venus enters Pisces on January 3 where she will remain until February 4, 2024. Venus in Pisces inspires heightened sensitivity and tenderness in love. Relationships take on a magical quality, fostering deeper connections and an appreciation for emotional intimacy. However, there’s also a tendency to idealize partners, so it’s important to balance fantasy with reality. Pisces’ imaginative energy amplifies artistic pursuits. This is a fertile period for creative endeavors such as music, painting, writing, and anything that channels the intangible into form. Inspiration flows effortlessly, making this an excellent time to explore your artistic side.
Venus in Pisces opens the heart to universal love and compassion. Acts of kindness, charity, or spiritual practices feel especially fulfilling during this time. It’s a wonderful opportunity to explore meditation, dreamwork, or other ways of connecting to the divine.
January 3 sets a fiery and tense tone, as Mars and Pluto form an opposition, highlighting conflicts between individuality (Mars) and control (Pluto). This aspect may push unresolved power dynamics to the surface, calling for strategic responses rather than impulsive and rushed reactions. On January 6, as Mars retrogrades into Cancer, the focus shifts inward, encouraging reflection on how we assert ourselves within familiar or domestic spaces. This energy calls for nurturing strength from within, especially in areas where we may feel vulnerable.
As we enter 2025, Mars is still retrograde in Leo; it re-enters Cancer on January 6th, where it will remain in this motion untl February 23rd. Retrograde Mars in Cancer could bring heightened emotional conflicts, particularly within family or domestic settings. People might act out of insecurity or defensiveness during this time and this could lead to passive-aggressive behavior or overprotection. Matters related to home, land, or personal safety might require reassessment or repair.
Also this month, the lunar nodes make their significant transition into the mutable signs of Pisces (South Node) and Virgo (North Node). This shift marks a new chapter in the collective narrative, bringing attention to themes of practicality (Virgo) versus spirituality (Pisces), service (Virgo) versus sacrifice (Pisces), and discernment versus surrender.
Something I thought was worth clarifying is that the True Node moves into Pisces on January 11, 2025, while the Mean Node moves into Pisces on January 29, 2025. This difference stems from how each nodal position is calculated. In my January 2025 horoscopes, I emphasized the January 29 date because I often lean on the Mean Node for its steady symbolism, but you’ll find both dates mentioned across YouTube and other astrological resources. To clear up any confusion, let me explain the distinction. The True Node represents the actual, real-time movement of the lunar nodes, which are not physical celestial bodies but points where the Moon’s orbit intersects the Sun’s apparent path, known as the ecliptic. These nodes “wobble” due to the gravitational interactions of the Sun, Moon, and Earth, resulting in a slightly irregular motion that oscillates between retrograde and direct. The Mean Node, however, simplifies this movement by averaging it out, creating a steady retrograde motion through the zodiac. This approach smooths over the wobble and provides a consistent, symbolic progression of the nodes. Both the True Node and the Mean Node are valid and widely used in astrology, but their subtle differences can influence interpretations. The True Node can resonate with real-time events and precise shifts, while the Mean Node often feels more aligned with overarching, karmic themes.
When the nodes last travelled through Pisces and Virgo (June 2006 to January 2008), the world experienced significant shifts in health, service, and spirituality. This period coincided with the global financial crisis, bringing an urgent need for reevaluation of practical systems. Similarly, there was heightened interest in holistic health practices and spiritual exploration.
With Virgo’s attention to detail, we may see advancements in medicine or renewed interest in preventative care. At the same time, Pisces’ influence might spark debates around mental health, addiction, and alternative healing methods. Virgo’s practicality could inspire collective action to address environmental issues, while Pisces may stir movements centered on compassion and care for marginalized groups. The last time these nodes were active, global economic systems faced restructuring. This nodal cycle may similarly emphasize financial discipline and resource management.
Mid-month, the Full Moon in Cancer on January 13 delivers a powerful emotional climax. Aligned with retrograde Mars and sextile to Uranus, this lunation is an opportunity for profound emotional breakthroughs. While this energy may feel intense at first, it also offers a chance for innovative solutions and healing, especially where past wounds or stagnation have lingered.
The month concludes with the New Moon in Aquarius on January 29 and Uranus stationing direct in Taurus on January 30, creating a blend of forward momentum and fresh innovation. The New Moon inspires visionary thinking and a desire to break free from old patterns, while Uranus’ direct motion reignites progress in areas related to finances, resources, and values. Together, these events set the stage for bold new beginnings that honor individuality while aligning with collective needs.
All in all, January 2025 invites us to balance emotional depth with intellectual clarity, stimulating us to prepare for the year ahead with an open mind and heart. It’s a month to embrace change, find strength in vulnerability, and align with higher ideals.
Have a great month and until the next time!
Warm regards,
Justyna
